I am an aspiring globe trekker, or you can call me a globe trekker wannabe! I’ve visited only 16 countries, so to acquire the title of “Globe Trekker”, I most certainly have a lot more traveling to do.
My travels thus far have taken me primarily to Europe, Mideast, South America, Africa, and the Caribbean. I travel to specific places for specific reasons, usually with some historical significance. All of my trips were interesting and memorable, and some were even adventurous.
There are numerous blogs dedicated to traveling and it is my goal to join the other bloggers to add my travel stories. If you are new to travel, hopefully, I can impart some information to you based on my experiences. If you are an experienced traveler, I welcome your stories as I continue my globe trekking.
People travel for various reasons, mostly for pleasure or business. If you travel for business, you get paid, so that should be pleasurable too. Overcrowded tourist sites and cities can erode your pleasure as well as your finances rapidly. However, I have a few ideas on how to keep this erosion from happening!
I believe that if you seek true pleasurable travel you need a quest. Your quest will take you on journeys to strange places, many of them off the beaten path or the road less traveled. Most of my travels started with a quest, usually ignited by a simple experience. Sometimes your quest will be easy to find, and your travel destination clearly defined. However, at times you will have to do some exploring. You may encounter language barriers, travel glitches, and even safety issues – but with proper preparation, you will certainly enjoy yourself and have a few adventures on the way!
I still have many quests in mind and several countries to visit, so we may run into each other!
You have a great blog here, continue the good work.
Thanks for your visit, like and following at my blog. Very appreciated.
Irene
Thank you Irene, and I am honored to add you to my blogging friends!

Love your About page and the inspiration to travel as you do. Although we haven’t traveled a lot abroad, we have seen the nooks and crannies of many little and big places in the US. In fact, we find adventures right outside out door! Thanks for following! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com

I wish I could travel more – I love people and different cultures! You mentioned a wife in the post I read, do you travel together?
Hello Diana! We travel to big cities, but she is not too adventurous, so most of my treks are done alone, or with a friend. Trekking can be rough sometimes! 🙂
I bet it can!
I’ve found that if I stay open as we travel, sometimes the quest finds me. I return home slightly altered and always feeling more alive. 🙂 Jadi
Yes, often times adventures are unplanned! Thanks for stopping by!

You are a man outta my own heart. I / we love to travel. We are starting out smaller by only trying to see all of the Caribbean right now. We have been to Europe and that is the next quest as our girls get older. And good diving is the first thing we look for when mapping out our next trek. Have you been to Curacao? I look forward to following your trips!
Hello, and thanks for reading! I’ve touched on Curacao once as a kid but not toured the island. It’s not far from Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana where I have visited, but I have heard good reviews about the place.
I have heard the best diving in the Caribbean and it has many many secluded beaches to have all to yourself. I have often thought of doing a Travel Blog so I really envy what you do here. 🙂
Yes, the small islands have clear water and secluded beaches. I think you should do a travel section on your blog and post those amazing photos! Go for it!
I was thinking that same thing over lunch, about making a Travel categorie, adding stories I have done already and asking others to guest post about their favorite trip or unknown travel destinations in their own country, whether Russia, Indonesia, Pakistan, wherever. I would like to use a link to your site and maybe post your travel tips at the beginning of the page too, giving full credit to you and your site. Would you mind that? I invite you to add content any time or maybe I could reblog some of your popular stories a well. How does that sound to you?
That sounds great! I like that idea. Go for it and good luck! 🙂
Looking out for more of your adventures!
Will try!
Thanks for your nice comment!
good post.
